A Tribute, Thoughts and Obesrvations on Sharon Maynard’s Passing
Although, My wife, Sharon, kept most aspects of life private as far as the General Public was concerned, she was indeed one of the most gifted, caring, and incredibly powerful Luminaries on this planet. From the time I first met her in San Francisco, we formed a very stong bond between our hearts and minds, which continued to grow in both dimension and power for the thirty years we lived and worked together. Over the years, her special “magic” touched and tranformed the lives of many Celebrities, Screen Writers, Movie Stars, Rock Stars and leading-edge Scientific Leaders in the US and abroad. Our travels together the were filled with amazing adventures and experiences, as we travelled the world to remote locations and interfaced with different cultures and exotic wildlife, taking thousands of photos and videos in the Tropical Rainforests, with its cornucopia of exotic plants and animals.
We also documented first-hand the incredible splendors and exotic vistas of the undersea world, which included interactive experiences in Moorea, French Polynesia, with hand fed stingrays which would actually swim over the surfaces of your body, at times actually enfolding your body with their wings. On the Island of Bora Bora, I was privileged to observe Giant Manta rays, some with wingspans approaching 20 feet, which “fly” through the water with angelic grace, feeding on tiny planktonic organisms by straining them through their gills. In the Andaman Sea in the waters of Thailand, we interacted with and rode elephants through jungle trails, watched a cobra trainer work with 12-foot king cobras, and swam placidly in the waters of the South China ses to observe and photograph 7-foot sea snakes, exotic cuttlefish, scorpionfish, moray eels, lion fish, large turtles…swimming amidst brilliant palettes of exotic soft corals. In Moorea, French Pollynesia i (Elliott) had numerous opportunities to to work with skilled dive masters who demonstrated their Shark Feeding Techniques. On a single dive we were visited and interacted with three 10-foot long, 1000-pound lemon sharks that I was able to film up close as they would often swim directly toward you and then veer up, to gracefully clear the top of your head…this, while perhaps as many as 20 white tipped reef sharks and grey sharks were circling around for the smaller scraps that were left over when the large sharks tore pieces of the large Marlin skeleton with head intact that was first offered to the larger sharks.
In Sedona, Arizona we establised our Center for the development of Advanced Technology, and New Paradigms in Art, Science, Alternative Medicine, Education, and Future-Technology. In November of 2006 we compled our dream home and Global Center together, which Sharon got to live in and enjoy for over a year. During this time she loved to step outside the front door and sit on the patio ovelooking Oak Creek, listening to the sounds of the birds and running water, and the wind whispering through the trees.
Although Sharon as we knew her will be sorely missed by many, she will no longer be limited by her physical body as she continues her transformational work at a higher level. The bond between us grew to be so strong over the years, that we are still very much united in Spirit, which will allow me to continue on with the many programs and new paradigms we created together. I will continue on to with this mission which involves the positive transformation of the human social consciousness in areas of Science, Education, Fine Arts, New Leadership, and Future Science and Technology.
Sharon left me with an incredible amount of work to accomplish in many different areas, but thanks to the support of all our good friends, professionals, and scientific colleagues. I feel compelled to follow through in developing the many creative Projects we conceived and set into motion together. So now that my “Energizer Bunny” has shifted herself into the higher realm of operation, I will pick up my own drum, and start marching right ahead on into the Future…continuing the work we began, in an effort to realize the Dreams and Visions we created, shared and celebrated. Although it will take a little time for me to get my oars back in the water…one thing I know: There will be many astounding adventures yet to be revealed, and unique new opportunities for us to re-invent ourselves as we move ahead in time and space.
