Fuel of the Future…Bacterial BioFuel

The Biofuel of the Future could well be gasoline…but gasoline which is produced from bacterial or algal microorganisms. That is the hope of LS9, a Biotech Startup Company in San Carlos, California. Scientists there are attempting to manipulate the genetics of bacteria to produce hydrocarbons, that could be processed into fuels that would be similar to Petroleum-based fuels.
