Arcos Cielos Research Center

Visit from Swedish Documentary Film Producer, Maja Borg

Maja Borg, a Bright new talent in Documentary Film Production, visited our Research Center here in Sedona on January 12-15. Maja and I spent quality time together. working on intensive brainstorming sessions, and on-camera interviews in the majestic red-rock settings of Sedona. Maja is currently working on a new documentary film about the brilliant Architectural Designs, and Transformative Social Visions of futurist, Jacque Fresco - a leading-edge thinker and legend-in-his-own time, who might best be described as a “Modern Leonardo da Vinci.”

From an early age, Maja began writing, producing, and directing her own films. Although only 26 years old, she has an incredible grasp of state-of-the-art Cinematic Technologies, as well as a very unique conceptual perspective which has elevated her creative abilities that of a person far beyond her years. Within this context she has already established herself in the international scene, by working on films in Sweden, Romania, Scotland, the United States, and Jordan. She graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in Film and TV Production, with highest honors, and a Feature Documentary Film, titled “Look at Lucia.” Her work spans documentary, science fiction, and experimental film genres. Her films have won numerous awards, and have been shown at Film Festivals across the World. Maja’s special infusion of visionary excellence, and her intuitive use advanced technology mark her as a “rising star” in the global arena of Film Production. Be sure to keep an eye on her….her best is yet to come!

Maja has recently developed a fascination with the new Transformative Paradigms for Social Transformation and Planetary Management, developed over the years at Arcos Cielos Research Center. She is planning to integrate these advanced concepts, as alternative, but complementary perspectives, into her ongoing documentary film of Jacque Fresco’s masterful works. She is already making plans to return to Sedona in the spring to film additional interview footage here with her camera crew.

Over the years, Jacque Fresco and his mission partner, Roxanne Meadows, have created a veritable forest of innovative concepts in Sustainable Architectural Design, and an elegantly functional Design for a new and evolved Alternative Social Structure for Human Society…a cyber-automated society, based on a Resource-Based Economy. The end result would be a New Global Infrastructure, powered by clean, sustainable energy, recycling waste materials, and thus effectively freeing humans from the consumer-focused materialism, and the constraints of organized manual labor, so that they might instead pursue more positive and creative lifestyles. This new enlightened Social System would be established within the framework of a “functional partnership,” which would be perfectly in harmony with the natural systems of The Global Biosphere, and recognize the importance of the fundamental relationship of the Human Consciousness to the Natural World.

Jacque and I first met at the World Future Society Conference several years ago. Since that time we have maintained a lively collaboration and scientific dialog over the years. We delight in sharing our individual and collective scientific philosophies, and, over time, have evolved a shared vision for Global Transformation. [Jacque wrote the Foreword for my book on Global Ecology, Transforming the Global Biosphere: Twelve Futuristic Strategies, published in 2003].
