Oldest Live Fish Fossil Discovered in Australia

In an landmark discovery, Scientists in western Australia discovered a 380-million-year-old Fish Fossil which immortalized a female fish giving birth to its offspring, which was still attached to its umbilical cord. This kind of birth is similar to that found in modern sharks and rays. This remarkable find pushes back the date of the first known case of such a live birth by some 200 million years.
