Second Annual Conference on Future Energy
Thursday, September 28th, 2006We were privileged to attend the Second International Conference on Future Energy, at the Sheraton College Park Hotel in Washington, DC, September 22-24, 2006. The Conference, which was co-hosted by the Integrity Research Institute www.integrityresearchinstitute.org and the New Energy Movement www.newenergymovement.org represents a historical benchmark for the integration of Future Energy and New Technologies directly into the Mainstream Scientific Community. The major driving force for this new spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and willingness to introduce the Global Scientific Community to an array of new and challenging paradigms is the looming and ubiquitous threat of Global Warming, which is finally emerging into the scientific and social consciousness as a “Global Emergency” which is wielding major physical and economic impacts on humans and ecosystems everywhere on Earth. Within this context the Conference provided a stellar example of how scientists and technical experts can marshal their creative energies and assume leadership roles as a vital information and action resources for national leaders everywhere, by developing and implementing mega-scale programs in Planetary Management, Pollution Abatement and Clean-Up, and Environmental Remediation, which have newly emerged as being critical to the present and future survival of Humans and our Global Biosphere.
