Following the two ATWG Conference sessions at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, a special follow up session was held on April 20 at the Sedona Hilton Resort, hosted by the Arcos Cielos Center for Future-Science Technology. Highlights of this Session included a special Intensive Leadership Workshop presented by Charlie Smith and Barry Pogorel, who graciously donated their time and unique expertise for this workshop. Other highlights revolved around the interaction of the new Space Book, Beyond Earth: The Future of Humans in Space. Senior Editor, USC Professor Emeritus, Dr. Bob Krone, made the trip especially to moderate the ATWG Author Interaction Sessions, and provide his editorial insights. (more…)

Advanced Technology Working Group Spring Conference, April 18-20, Flagstaff & Sedona, Arizona

The Spring 2006 ATWG (Advanced Technology Working Group) Conference was hosted by Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff on April 18-19, and at the Sedona Hilton Resort on April 20, hosted by the Arcos Cielos Research Center. The Advanced Technology Working Group is a Public/Private Forum for Advanced Earth and Space Technology, and is comprised of leading-edge thinkers from Government, NASA, the Aerospace Industry, Academia, the Department of Defense, Space-oriented Think-Tanks, NGO’s, and the emerging Space Entrepreneurial Sector. New Space Book:”Beyond Earth: The Future of Humans in Space” - by Elliott Maynard

The new Space Book, Beyond Earth: The Future of Humans in Space is a stellar collaboration by 40 leading-edge authors associated with the Advanced Technology Working Group (ATWG). The unique editorial team includes Senior Editor Bob Krone, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus at USC; Langdon Morris, President of Innovation Labs, Inc., and former NASA Apollo Engineer and ATWG Founder, Dr. Kenneth J. Cox. The book is slated for publication by Apogee Books on May 1st of 2006. Plans are already underway for translations into Chinese, Korean, German, Hebrew, Japanese, French, Swahili, and possibly Russian, Arabic, Spanish and Greek. (more…)
