Managing Stress or “Dis-Stress” Through Meditation

“To those who may consider meditating a waste of time, I emphasize several points: First, managing stress or dis-stress is a subtle benefit to be gained from sitting for twenty plus minutes in silence. Random thoughts which arise in Meditation often mask feelings or dis-stress, which are not always immediately apparent. At times, fresh creative thoughts arise simply by dircting attention to the “null zone.” Knowing how to manage all the inner activity, without concentrating and by surrendering to the flow is, as I’m sure you are aware, is essential for having “successful” Meditations.” (more…)
