An amateur treasure hunter prowling his friend’s farmland with a metal detector stumbled upon the largest Anglo-Saxon Treasure ever discovered. According to British archaeologists, the massive seventh-century hoard incudes gold and silver sword decorations, crosses, and other items. A total of 1,345 items have been cleaned up and examined so far.

Anglo-Saxon artisans made striking objects out of gold and enamel, and also created poetry that still amazes people today. Their best-known literary work is “Beowolf,” an epic poem about a warrior who does battle with monsters and a dragon. According to Leslie Webster of the British Museum, about 11 pounds (5 kilograms) of gold have so far been uncovered. The hoard consisted of crosses and other religious artifacts, mixed in with military items, such as sword pommel caps may shed new light on the relationship between Christianity and warfare among the Anglo-Saxons. Global Leadership, and Human Potential Development. The Corporation is established in the State of Arizona in compliance with State and Federal regulations, and has a track record of over 25 years of Community and Global Service. We are dedicated to helping Community Organizations such as local Girls and Boys Clubs, Missions for the Homeless, the Humane Society, as well as Ecological  Organizations in Arizona, the US, and the World. We also provide small grants for individual Folk Artists and Documentary Film Producers, and contribute scientific ideas and on-camera interviews…mainly in areas of Global Ecology, Indigenous Culture, and Intercultural Exchange. We support organizations for the Performing Arts such as the Secret Rose Theater in LA…especially children’s programs. We also contribute to and actively participate in Global Leadership Organizations such as Humanitad International’s Global Impact Forum, the Space Renaissance International Forum, and the Aerospace Technology Working Group, working to develop Alternative Clean Technologies and unique new Paradigms for positive thought and action. Since its inception, no salaries have been taken for the thousands of hours Dr. Maynard and his former wife, Sharon (now deceased) have put in into developing Arcos Cielos’ innovative programs. On-site Office, Library, Art and Sculpture Studio, and Meeting Spaces are all donated, so we are very efficient with our funding base, which is used for Book Publications, Travel, Office Equipment, Photo and Video Equipment, etc. Arcos Cielos also maintains a four-acre Nature Sanctuary, with a fire pit and trails, adjacent to Oak Creek and the Red Rock State Park.

A Revolutionary New Technology offers the potential to generate clean Electrical Power for the World. The new device can generate energy in rivers and tidal basins in waters flowing at rates of less than one knot (about one mile per hour). The device consists of a System of Cylinders which are positioned horizontally to the flowing water, and are attached to springs. As the water flows past, the cylinders create vortices which push and pull the cylinders up and down. Mechanical Energy is thus converted into Electricity. These systems are more efficient than similar sized turbines or wave generators, and the amounts of power generated will increase sharply if the current flow is faster or more cylinders are added. These systems can be located in river beds or suspended in the ocean. The research program, funded by the US Government, suggests that generating electrical power in this way would potentially cost only 3.5p per kilowatt hour, compared with 4.5p for Wind Energy, and from 10p to 31p for Solar Power.
