Antarctic Ice Bridge Shatters
Sunday, April 5th, 2009Oslo, April 4, 2009. According to glaciologist David Vaughn, an Ice Bridge holding a vast Antarctic Ice Shelf in place the size of Connecticut has shattered, and may be an indicator of a wider collapse caused by the effects of Global Climate Change. Satellite photos from space, taken by the European Space Agency showed a strip of ice about 25 miles, which had held the ice shelf had fractured. To read the full story, CLICK.
