Non-Conventional Technologies as Transformative Change-Agents

For the Future of Humanity and the Global Biosphere

INTRODUCTION

As Human Society begins its Journey into the Third Millennium we face a multitude of social and environmental problems on local, national, and global scales. Although conventional science and technology have attempted to provide solutions for these problems, in most instances…especially as far as Worldwide Environmental Problems are concerned…practical solutions simply appear to have outrun our human capabilities. Despite determined resistance from our mainstream scientific establishments, new and exciting non-conventional technologies are available which can successfully repair and reverse existing environmental destruction, and infuse fresh, environmentally appropriate new paradigms into the Global Social Consciousness. These New MetaParadigms would be put into practice with the ultimate objective of achieving inspirationally uplifting and environmentally sustainable relationships between Human Society and its Planetary Homeworld…invoking a positive, dynamic, and synergistic interchange between Humans and their Natural Planetary Resources.

ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGIES AS “CATALYSTS FOR TRANSFORMATION

Throughout the 20th Century, many unique Alternative Technologies have been developed by independent researchers. These technologies have proven effective in areas of Communications, Electrical Power Generation, Transportation, Agriculture, and Medicine to name a few. Although, at first glance, these Alternative Technologies might appear to be unrelated, their common denominator has been that they function outside the boundaries of the outmoded Scientific Paradigms of the past. As a result, it was simply not possible for them to be validated within the Scientific Establishment, without changing the System itself to accommodate these new technologies. Even through positive and definitive results were often demonstrated repeatedly, scientific establishments and powerful industrial alliances between the major vested interests in the dominant technologies of the times, managed to attack and discredit these upstart scientists…in many cases, effectively banishing them entirely from the very scientific fraternities which should have supported their dreams and visionary new technologies.

BREAKING OUT OF THE INDUSTRIAL-AGE MINDSET

From a historical perspective, the Conventional Scientific Establishment has devoted a significant portion of its energies toward protectionism and self-perpetuation by displaying an overriding tendency to emphasize the importance of “Re-search,” instead of “Search.” Periodically, however, the bastions of Mainstream Science became so overwhelmed by such embarrassing glimpses of the obvious, that they were eventually compelled to modify their existing paradigms by incorporating appropriate new changes to accommodate the new scientific devices and systems. This was certainly the case, for example, with Galileo and Charles Darwin. Primary examples of a similar ongoing scientific disputes can be found be the violent reactions generated by Government and University Scientists against the pioneering researchers in the field of Cold Fusion, or the various excursions into areas of Zero-Point Energy and the Realms of Quantum Physics, where established physical laws break down - blurring the distinction between Classical Scientific and Quantum Phenomena.

TRADITIONAL INDUSTRIAL-AGE PARADIGMS

Prior to the Year 2000, Paradigms typically took the form of Mental Matrices, Behavioral Models, Thought-Forms, or Operational Protocols for Thinking and Action. For leading-edge 21st century thinkers, these old paradigms represent restrictive thought patterns, which are essentially mental and social “Hangovers” from the Industrial Age.

Although the quotations which follow were made by some of the most respected scientific and military authorities of their times, only a generation or two later these “Truths” have become “caricatures” of the times in which they existed. They now appear almost stranger than fiction!

“X-Rays are a hoax.

Aircraft Flight is impossible.

Radio has no future.”

…Lord Kelvin – Physicist and Mathematician (1804-1907)

“The Bomb will never go off,

and I speak as an expert on explosives.”

…Admiral Wm. Leahy, U. S. Atomic Energy Project

TRANSITIONAL, OR “GATEWAY PARADIGMS

Transitional Paradigms are “catalytic,” “provocative,” and “revolutionary,” when compared with the mainstream thinking patterns of the times. These new futuristic paradigms represent “Metaphorical Gateways” for the Mind and Consciousness to explore entirely new and novel possibilities for thought and action. The following quotation by astrophysicist, Carl Sagan, is an example of a Transitional Paradigm. It gives a bizarre and mentally provocative twist to a traditional American saying:

“If you wish to make Apple Pie truly from scratch,

you must first invent the universe.”

…Carl Sagan – 1034-1996.

NEW CO-EVOLUTIONARY PARADIGMS FOR TRIMILLENIAL THINKING

New, transformative Paradigms for Third Millennium thought and action would differ markedly from the restrictive paradigms of the past. By combining new scientific applications with sophisticated computer programs, new paradigm models could be created which would function as “self-aware concepts.” These New Paradigms would be designed to be self-organizing, so they could “grow,” “change,” and “evolve” in ways which would provide the most appropriate support for the social and ecological parameters of the times.

Unlike the restrictive, controlling paradigms of the Past, New Millennium Paradigms would be “open-ended,” since flexible and evolvable guidelines would be incorporated into their structure. Such guidelines would function to enrich mental and spiritual growth, encourage intellectual diversity, and assist human thinking to develop new, creative solutions for the overwhelming social, economic, and environmental problems presently facing the citizens of Planet Earth.

Embedded in the conceptual matrix of this New Paradigm Model would incorporate a constellation of new solutions, technologies, concepts, and programs, which would embody the basic idea of “Designing for Posterity.” Each proposed decision and action would thus be evaluated in terms of its potential impact on the Future. TriMillennial Concepts and Programs would include such concepts as “Giving back more than you take,” and “Leaving a place a little nicer than you found it.” This simplistic type of positive thinking, if multiplied exponentially by the millions of human minds on Earth, could function as a powerful catalytic force for creating a selection of Bright Future Scenarios for the Global Biosphere, and for the Generations of Humans to come. Here are two examples of Co-Evolutionary Paradigms appropriate for the Third Millennium:

A Paradigm for Achieving Quantum Consciousness

All Life has its own characteristic Frequency,

or Set of Frequencies.

When any Life Form is stimulated

by the appropriate form of Energy,

it will raise its own Frequencies in Harmonic Resonance,

first in a Linear Mode…and eventually in Quantum Jumps

(Quantum meaning that the Vibrational and Physical Structure

will arrive at a State where it is forced to change its basic composition,

in order to continue using energy at the Higher Vibrational Frequencies).

THE BREAKDOWN OF CONVENTIONAL SCIENTIFIC THOUGHT

In many areas of Global Ecology, conventional scientific methodology has failed to provide practical solutions for the problems caused by the impact of human activities on the Global Biosphere, and has figuratively already “hit the wall.” It has simply been incapable of coming up with Practical Solutions for dealing with the major problems facing the future of the Global Biosphere and the Human Race.

In response to this “Dilemma of Unprecedented Proportions,” the author proposes an entirely New Scientific Paradigm, which integrates Conventional Science with Alternative Science, combines Ancient and Modern Technologies, and incorporates Practical and Ecologically Appropriate Technologies, which exist outside the present boundaries of Conventional Science. Much of the methodology for this New Paradigm has existed since the early nineteen hundreds…but has simply been pushed aside (or ignored) by the Scientific Establishment, and Corporate Alliances whose primary interest is in maintaining the status quo.

CREATING A NEW THIRD-MILLENNIUM MINDSET

In order to forge enlightened new pathway into the Third Millennium, a concerted effort by world leaders in Government, Science, Academia, and Industry should be mounted, to encourage entirely new “Unconventional” Scientific Systems, and to support their development and integration into practical and effective socio-ecological programs. This renewed spirit of support from all sectors is essentially an “Evolutionary Imperative” for success and survival in the New Millennium. It is also a prerequisite for transitioning us through the creation and implementation of practical solutions and programs, which can successfully be integrated into the social fabric of Global Society. Indeed, if this type of “New Millennium Perspective” can be actively embraced and integrated into the Global Social Consciousness, resistance from the old Establishment Mindset will simply melt away, so that mainstream thinkers can begin to benefit institutionally and economically, and operate with a new sense of rejuvenation, public support and enlightened purpose. To enable this New Social Transformation, major shifts in both Attitude and Approach will ultimately be required at social and personal levels.

Global Society must make a major shift from a self-gratification, me-first, consumption-focused mentality, to a new mindset which is centered aroun self-respect, self-responsibility, self-motivation, concern for the welfare of others, and a new sense of awareness, reverence, and nurturing for the Natural Environment. With a new spirit of synergistic support and international cooperation infused into the Global Social Consciousness, egocentric barriers will melt away, and the defensive attitudes of Fear and Insecurity, which have dominated our culture over the past millennia can be left behind us in the dust bins of History. For this unique Techno-Transformation to occur both conventional and alternative scientists must put aside their egotistical, defensive, and self-serving attitudes. By forming Synergistic Teams, based on enthusiasm and cooperation, these two groups in their diversity, represent a powerful transformative resource for the continued survival, success, and prosperity of our scientific and industrial establishments. The thrust of New-Millennium Science should be to demonstrate that it is possible for alternative sciences to establish synergistic relationships with the existing scientific establishment, and to work together to produce environmentally appropriate technologies, which combine the “best of both worlds.”

THE PROMISE OF GLOBAL RESTORATION AND HUMAN ENLIGHTENMENT

Pathways of Natural Transition need to be created, so existing establishment interests can discover profitable ways to save face…and prosper even more efficiently (i.e. raising the bottom line). Alternative scientific technologies, on the other hand, need to be grounded into working models and practical applications, which can eventually demonstrate indisputable results…with theoretical principles and detailed scientific proof left to be debated and defined by scholars at a later date. Economics would thus become the fundamental driving force behind scientific and technological development, speeding up and supporting the integration of alternative scientific principles into mainstream social functionality. “Cooperative investing” by alternative scientists, concerned entrepreneurs, and successful cutting-edge corporations, would further accelerate the growth and integration of alternative technologies…thus encouraging a “blossoming” of exciting futuristic technologies which would define entirely new ways of thinking and living for 21st Century Social Architecture.

In the Spirit of the New Millennium Consciousness, the posturing, territoriality, and survival-of-the-fittest mindsets of ivory-tower scientist would ultimately be forced to yield to practical, common sense applications, re-directed to improving the quality of human lifestyles within a context of enhanced and sustainable ecology. “Search,” in the form of disciplined discovery would replace the mindless academic treadmills of “Re-Search,” and a new and enlightened sense of spiritual creativity would emerge…to enrich and energize the entire global scientific community.

Within this new framework of Scientific Enlightenment and Global Responsibility, the massive hemorrhaging of public tax dollars which presently fund destructively oriented defense-related activities could be re-directed into forming a new “Environmental Earth Defense Forces,” dedicated to enforcing environmental regulations, providing disaster relief and clean-up, policing environmental sanctuaries, supervising and implementing environmental clean-up and restoration programs, managing forest and ocean resources, and providing technical support, and manpower resources for developing and managing intensive, ecologically appropriate food production systems. A biospherically focused Military Program would attract an elite group of bright young leaders, who would not only get to take part in Planetary Protection, Environmental Maintenance, and Natural Resource Restoration Programs, but would also have a meaningful set of marketable career skills when they had completed their military service.

Through enlightened applications of New Millennium Science, Global Wilderness Preserves and Urban Forest Parks could be developed, using genetically enhanced trees, selected for their rapid growth, air cleaning capabilities, and natural beauty. Marine Hatcheries and Nurseries could re-seed the world’s oceans with fast-growing, disease-resistant fish and shellfish, and lost or damaged corals could be re-planted on the important coral reef areas of the world. Treated human and animal sewage could be recycled to increase the fertility of crops worldwide, or to fertilize blooms of beneficial plankton. This would serve to enrich the basic elements of the ocean food chains, while removing pollution in the world’s heavily populated coastal regions.

International Programs could be set up to rejuvenate, monitor, and manage ocean fisheries on a global scale, using Satellite Imaging Technology to pinpoint environmental problems and to monitor the “health” of our Planet. Cooperative Programs, established and funded by government, private, and corporate sectors could manage Wild Forest Sanctuaries, and work to re-establish endangered species, with the ultimate objective of re-establishing a healthy, balance between Humans and the Planetary Biosphere…for the ultimate benefit of the present and future generations of Mankind.

RESOURCES

The Concepts and Applications in the foregoing paper were synthesized from the following publications, which were carefully selected to form a cohesive “Living Fabric” for the evolution of New Millennium Science and Global Ecology. Most of these publications were selected based on their futuristic viewpoints, and fresh new attitudes. Their common objective was to encourage the evolution of New Systems of Thinking and Action within a context appropriate for creating a new enlightened social order…A new evolved version of Human Society, which tempers Wisdom with New Technology, for the mutual benefit of Humans and all Life on Earth.
